So you are looking in the mirror this morning and what did you see?? Was it white bright beautiful teeth, or like the best part of the population were they looking a little dull?
Like most things in life teeth gradually fade to yellow in color. If you are an avid coffee, tea or red wine drinker then this will accelerate the process and may also stain your teeth.
It seems that almost every cosmetic company has tried to monopolize this industry with everything from whitening toothpaste to whitening strips. But there are only really two main options.
Take-home whitening systems using trays and whitening gel or in-office, for immediate whitening results using a light activated gel to brighten teeth.
How are the procedures used?
Take Home whitening kits
Take-home whitening has become wildly popular in recent times due to its flexibility and lower cost to in-house teeth whitening. The trade off is that it takes slightly longer to achieve the desired results (anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks)
This is accomplished by using a custom-made tray that is then layered with a prescription whitening gel 30mins to several hours at a time (dependent on how sensitive your teeth are).
Your dentist will make an appointment with you to take a custom impression which will then be used as a mold to make custom trays.
Once the whitening trays are ready you will have another appointment with your dentist where he will test them for a proper fit. Also the dentist will show the patient how to use the trays in conjunction with the whitening gel.
The whitening trays are quite comfortable to wear and can easily be placed in before bedtime and taken out in the morning.
Usually you will also be given a tooth mouse which you apply after using the trays to help alleviate sensitive teeth that some people get when using the gels.
In-Office Whitening.
There are several in-office whitening systems on the market but for the scope of this article we will only discuss Zoom Tooth Whitening
The Zoom! Whitening Procedure
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! Clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, this is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment competes the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
How The Zoom! Works
The Zoom! Light activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! Light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.
Who is eligible for tooth whitening?
Well that is just a matter of preference really, anyone who would like to whiten their teeth by up to ten shades. It is very common among wedding parties for nice white bright wedding photos. But it really does appeal to everyone.
Cost
The cost can vary from place to place but for take-home whitening this can be around $450 and in-house whitening using zoom can range from $500 - $1000 depending on the procedure used.
There are many different ways to obtain that beautiful whiter smile but if you want to get the best value for your money visit your local dentist and ask about it.

Medical billing software reviews are one of the easiest ways to find out important facts regarding the function and use of certain types of medical billing software, as well as their limitations.
One software package that regularly garners superlative reviews is Lytec medical billing software. Computer experts and users alike agree that Lytec software has many positives, including a clear interface and a simple approach to the medical billing process. The Lytec software suite tracks claims management, patient billing, insurance, and scheduling in a single package. The result is a workspace with a seamless quality in which a group of diverse functions, from electronic medical records to healthcare forms, behave in an integrated and coherent way.
A busy medical practice of any size can be a volatile environment, and a system that breaks down under heavy use is a real liability in this business. Lytec medical software is secure, auditable and completely expandable to your specific needs. More importantly it’s simple enough to configure yourself.
NueMD is a medical practice management software created specifically for medical offices that also has received positive reviews. Comments have ranged from “NueMD is a functional and no-nonsense practice management solution transported over the Internet,” to “NueMD allows online eligibility verification done by the client, claims submission, reporting, and analysis. This software is first-rate and is priced less than most systems of its kind.” Other reviews have indicated that the software is a success in small solo medical practices as well as large-scale operations, owing to its reasonable price and ease of use. The ease of use came up often, especially in terms of even a novice being able to pick it up quickly.
eClinicalWorks, another popular medical billing software provider, also earns a mention. It is considered one of the leading providers of integrated uninterrupted ambulatory EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and PM (Practice Management) systems for multiple-local medical practices that include diverse specialties. eClinicalWorks is an award-winning company focused on customer care and satisfaction. KLAS a research and consulting firm dedicated to improving the performance of healthcare information technology providers recognized eClinicalWorks, with its distinguished “Best in Klas Award” 2004. This accolade is considered one of the most important honors in the field.
Any of these three types of software are likely to provide the clarity, ease of use, and technological sophistication you require.

A Proven Way That Women Can Quit Drinking Without AA
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) has helped millions of people recover from alcoholism. For many women, however, AA may not be the best choice when it comes to the difficult task of quitting drinking. The main reason it may not be the best choice is this:
AA is based on the philosophy that self-centeredness is the root of alcoholism. In other words, AA’s approach is to instill humility and minimize egotism in its members.
While this method may have been appropriate for white males in the 1940’s when AA was founded, it does not meet the very different needs of women. Here’s why.
- Women who have a problem with alcohol oftentimes suffer from feelings of guilt and low self-esteem.
- Women already judge and berate themselves mercilessly.
- What women need to recover is to develop a sense of competency in themselves and rebuild their feelings of self-worth.
- Quitting drinking requires overcoming dependencies, forgetting the past and planning for the future.
SELF EMPOWERMENT, NOT HUMILITY, LEADS TO SOBRIETY
I agree that it is necessary for a woman to have humility in order to accept that she has a drinking problem. But taking humility beyond this first step is actually counter productive for the woman alcoholic.
Jean Kirkpatrick, Ph.D., founder of the Women for Sobriety Program (WFS), writes that “to accept humility is absolutely the worst thing that could happen to a woman alcoholic.” From long experience Jean understood that for women to overcome feelings of helplessness and powerlessness they must have a program that helps them to rebuild their self-image.
DOES GIVING YOURSELF UP TO A HIGHER POWER WORK FOR YOU?
The main component of AA’s program is spirituality. Specifically, they believe that in order to recover, one must surrender one’s will to a higher power.
WFS, on the other hand, does not encourage reliance on a higher power or something outside yourself. Women for Sobriety believes that your power must come from within.
THE WOMEN FOR SOBRIETY PROGRAM WORKS
This new, empowering method for women to quit drinking produces concrete results. An interesting study was published in the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse by L. A. Kaskutas in 1996.
What the study found was that after women became really aware that they had to do something about their drinking, the percentage of women who were sober within 1 year after attending Women for Sobriety meetings was 38%. In contrast, the percentage of women who were sober within 1 year after attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings was 26%.
WHY HAVEN’T I HEARD OF WFS?
One of the reasons why AA meetings are so prevalent is the fact that one aspect of their spiritual philosophy is a strong emphasis on service. Specifically, AA members are encouraged to attend meetings for life, and be part of a sponsorship program where experienced members assist beginners.
In contrast, because WFS encourages self-sufficiency, it does not promote lifelong attendance at meetings. Also, although WFS does not have a formal sponsorship program, it encourages an informal support structure among the women. A result of this WFS philosophy of leading women away from dependencies is that meetings are not as widely found with the Women for Sobriety Program as they are with AA.
The Women for Sobriety web site does, however, provide support in the form of on-line meetings, chat, and a bulletin board. They also have a large collection of popular books on recovery as well as their own literature for sale. This contrasts with AA meetings where only AA approved literature is allowed.
WFS MEETINGS ENCOURAGE CONVERSATION BETWEEN WOMEN
I like that WFS permits a wide range of meeting topics. And one of the best aspects of the WFS meeting format is that conversation is encouraged whereas AA has a strict “no cross-talk” rule during meetings.
Another difference between WFS and AA is that one-third of WFS members also attend AA meetings because they need more frequent meetings to stay sober and they like the fellowship and support. Women for Sobriety is open to this approach and, in fact, states that their Program “can be used with or without AA.”
AA, however, tends to discourage attendance at alternative programs. This can be seen through some of the wording in the introductory portion of the meeting where it is stated, “rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path,” and, later: “many of us thought we could find an easier, softer way. But we could not.”
WOMEN’S REACTIONS AFTER ATTENDING THEIR FIRST WFS MEETING
Power comes from looking forward not back. It is very important for women to have a positive, proactive force supporting them when it comes to quitting drinking. This is different than the AA approach of focusing on negative memories of the past to prevent drinking in the future.
A classic example of this is I have had many women come to my Women for Sobriety group and tell me that after hearing a person’s drinking story at an AA speaker meeting, they felt so badly when leaving the meeting that they just wanted to go out and drink. In contrast, many women share with me that they feel positive and hopeful for the future when they get out of our WFS meeting.

AA has been responsible for helping women get and remain sober for many years and I applaud their efforts. However, I spent 3 years in and out of AA at the beginning of my sobriety and I was never able to get my heart into the program.
During that 3 years I purchased and read all the WFS literature and finally engaged the help of a private therapist. When I finally got empowered enough to start a WFS meeting in my area, my ability to stay sober became permanent.
I DID IT, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!
I have been sober for 8 years now. I attribute my continuous sobriety to several things that the WFS Program revealed to me:
- The importance of getting to know myself and the reasons why I drank
- How to develop a lasting positive self-image
- The power was within me to pursue my true interests
- That long-term sobriety is possible with the support of like-minded women in my WFS group

Formula 1 motorsport is just the paramount of go-karting. It’s the professional formation of the sport in full. F1 is a worldwide phenomenon, a media enterprise that rakes in millions & millions of $ a year from advertising, funding, and television revenue channels. Professional Formula 1 drivers with a millionaire life style race these amazing motor cars that are unparalleled with technological luxuries - everything from hard to fabricate lightweight casings that glide the mechanism to tires with apparelled grooving style that represents the fabulous speed on the grand prix circuit. Keep up to date with Formula One with detailed guides on all the past and present Formula 1 Circuits.
There is currently no sport that best embodies the expression “universal sport” like Formula One motorsport. Numerous countries are active contributors in shaping the Formula One show - Malaysia for instance, is a hot spot for Formula 1 racing (Fernando Alonso, a Spanish-born driver driving for Team Renault just won a motor race there) and Italy plays a critical function in designing and manufacturing 1st class, top-of-the-line Formula 1 cars. Rivalry is expected in go-karting - offering an edge of enthusiasm with each zip of the curve and nitrous increase of the engine.
Formula One cars can be summed up in 2 words: technological miracle. These sleek, low riding gems completing laps at speeds getting near one-hundred & seventy mph consist of nothing more than simply a chassis, an engine, and 4 wheels. Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a chronic disease that affects the musculoskeletal system. Symptoms vary widely among sufferers, but generally include muscle and joint aches, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, headaches and tenderness in several of eighteen specific areas, or “trigger points” on the body. Fibromyalgia is often overlooked by sufferers as the inevitable result of a busy schedule and everyday stress. When patients do seek treatment, doctors often misdiagnose fibromyalgia as rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, or another musculoskeletal condition. It affects women far more often than men, at a ratio of about ten to one. While some cases result from a specific trauma, more often the exact cause is unknown.
The first step to fibromyalgia pain relief is being properly diagnosed. The condition is not completely understood by the medical community, and there is no specific course of treatment. Most advice given to patients reads like a weight-loss program, recommending low-intensity exercise, drinking lots of water, and reducing mental and physical stresses such as those caused by saturated fats, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, meat and sugar.
Anti-depressants are often prescribed as part of the treatment, which elevate the mood of the patient. Muscle relaxants and sleep aids may also be recommended. Since fibromyalgia sufferers are often found to be low in manganese and magnesium, both of which help balance thyroid function, nutritional supplements may prove beneficial as well.
Physical therapy is another essential component for fibromyalgia pain relief, as it teaches patients methods of walking, stretching, and exercise that reduce muscle tension and fatigue. A physical therapist will also teach patients how to make use of ergonomic tools in their daily life, like padded chairs and special keyboards designed to minimize muscle strain.
Some patients choose to incorporate alternative treatments such as acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy into their treatment. While the efficacy of these natural treatments has not been carefully studied and quantified, testimonials of fibromyalgia sufferers indicate that all of these alternative treatments may help alleviate symptoms of the disease. Whatever patients decide upon, it must be remembered that there is no simple cure for fibromyalgia, and a comprehensive plan that address mental and psychological symptoms and promotes healthy lifestyle habits is the most direct method of obtaining fibromyalgia pain relief.

If your back aches when you’re loading groceries in the car or your hands cramp up with arthritis when you sit down at the computer, you’re not alone. Although the nature, cause, and complaints vary, over one-half of Americans experience chronic or recurrent pain, a recent survey conducted by the Stanford University Medical Center found.
Pain is your brain’s signal that there is trouble a brew in your body, akin to the ‘Check Engine’ light in your car - a warning mechanism prompting you to take care of a situation that will otherwise worsen. And while its advantages are obvious in situations of acute pain - like when you accidentally cut your finger chopping vegetables or twist your ankle playing soccer, sufferers of chronic pain cannot easily remedy the source of their ailment. The pain takes a toll on their quality of life - impairing mood, sleep, and the ability to perform enjoyable activities like sports and necessary tasks at work. It is hardly surprising, then, that Americans spend $1 out of every $7 dollars they earn seeking pain relief.
Pain relief treatments are as varied as the types of pain we suffer from, the most popular being prescription medicines and over-the-counter treatments. Other commonly used therapies include massage, chiropractic visits, time-tested home remedies and simple bed rest. Many also find that light exercise and stretching help alleviate their pain.
As physicians, researchers, and the public have become increasingly interested in exploring the link between mind and body, yoga, meditation and even laughing clinics - where patients, led by a “laughing coach”, attempt to giggle, snort, and chortle their way to pain relief - have seen a corresponding upsurge in popularity. These treatments, along with acupuncture and homeopathic and herbal remedies, are also beginning to gain credibility within the medical community, as medical study findings seem to validate their beneficial effect on those suffering from pain.
At the other end of the spectrum, surgery still remains an appealing option for some, hoping that drastic measures will result in dramatic pain relief.
With all these treatments, it’s a wonder we’re not all skipping down the street, whistling a happy tune, right? The thing is, for some reason, these treatments often aren’t having the effect those who tried them had hoped. While the majority of respondents in the Stanford survey cited above report that the various therapies they have tried work at least “somewhat well”, few say any treatment has worked “very well”.
Physicians and many patients note that the most effective treatment is a combination of various remedies, the exact mixture varying from person to person. Although it can be frustrating to continually alter and tweak your course of treatment, you must remember that pain relief is more often the result of a process than a magic pill.

Most people do not have the time to do biceps and back one day, then legs and shoulders the next, then triceps and abdominals the next day. So here is a short, and every effective full body weight session you can easily get done in 30 minutes or less. Your muscles will feel the workout but you will not have the muscle soreness that will prevent you from your other training
Do this program two times a week. You are going to do drop sets. This means you are going to do three sets back to back without resting. Obviously if you ar not experienced with liting weight you will start with one set then more up to the three sets. You are going to work your larger muscles first. The order goes something like this:
Leg extension
Leg Press
Hamstring Curl
Close Grip Lat. Pull Down
Pull Over or Seated Row
Bench Press
Chest Fly
Triceps
Bicep Curls
Lateral Shoulder Raise
For every exercise write down the weight and the number of repetitions you do for your first set only. Do fifteen repetitions, once you get to the fifteenth repetition drop the weight down about 25% then do as many repetitions as you can, then again without rest drop the weight down and do as many repetitions as you can. If on the first set you cannot make fifteen repetitions, no problem, do as many as you can then drop the weight and keep going as I mentioned.
Write down the weight and number of repetitions you did for the first set only. For your next workout, if you made it to fifteen repetitions increase the weight. If you did not make it to fifteen repetitions, keep the weight the same and try to do more repetitions than you did last time. This will constantly push you to trainer harder. Try and do the exercises in the exact same order every time.
Not resting will really fatigue the muscle, but only while lifting at that time. You will still be able to do your other training. Training this way will stimulate muscle growth because you are causing the muscles to fail. In fact, on your third set you may only be lifting the bar with no weights on it at since your muscle is failing. That is one reason you will want to do this workout on some type of machine unless you have a spotter. Get past how much weight you are lifting, just let your muscles fail.
After a few sessions switch the type of exercise you are doing. Instead of a chest fly do a decline bench, then latter do an incline bench. Instead of a close grip lat. pull down do a seated row, but keep the same basic order, working the larger muscles to the smaller muscle.
You should be able to get this fully body weight session done in thirty minutes or less. Now go run!

Copyright 2005 So-lu’shunz Management Services
Time management is a universal concern and taking the necessary steps to conquer the issue is often avoided. But since the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time, begin today to win time back into your service - it’s been your enemy long enough!
1. Keep a running To Do list.
This yields immediate results. Use your list to continually reassess your changing priorities, to enable you to remain fluid in the face of a day that seems to morph before your very eyes! The idea is to empty your mind of the daily details and free it for the more valuable creative opportunities.
If you use your computer, create a template with all the elements valuable to you and a format easy to read and update. Load it daily or build continually on the same list, refreshing as you go.
On the go? Print your list and take it along, making notations for transfer later. Keep supporting materials attached, copies letters, estimates, invoices, and phone numbers, everything necessary to dispatch the items on your list. Since you won’t need 15 minutes to locate supporting paperwork, you can cross an item from your list, even if you only have a few minutes between appointments.
2. Use an organizer or palm pilot - make it really work for you.
If you use a daily planner, make your entries in pencil and be sure that each date has plenty of room for those unscheduled “squeeze-in” activities you wish to complete. Update names and addresses each time you update your address book in your email program. Consider working with a zippered planner and include copies of supporting paperwork for each upcoming appointment, phone call, etc.
You may find the best of both worlds works for you, and a hand held organizer which syncs with your computer is the perfect tool for you. Whatever you use, make sure it’s comfortable for you - after all, it will only work if you’ll work it.
3. Handle incoming mail immediately.
Keep a wastebasket near your front door or inbox and sort mail as it arrives - never let it pile up. Be ruthless! If you put it aside to read later, make sure “later” is an actual item on your schedule, “time to review today’s mail,” and then stick to it. If it’s not, remember manana never comes. You may be rushed at the moment, but check your LATER stack and if it’s an inch high or more, there is a pattern in the making and chances are you won’t get to it until you are doing a major muck-out.
4. Use voicemail and email freely as appropriate.
These two valuable technologies have developed somewhat of a reputation as inferior communication tools. No technology is all bad or all good - all things in moderation. Learn how to use electronic communication wisely and appropriately and value it for the opportunity it affords you to clearly state your issue uninterrupted and with no time wasted. These tools are most effective when used to enhance, not to replace, personal contact.
The same temptation we fight with incoming mail presents itself with both voicemail and email. Deal with incoming messages immediately, only filing emails when you have read them and know you will need to refer to them in future. Transcribe voicemail messages for future use and then delete them. If you haven’t time to listen right away, make sure you schedule a time.
5. Use travel time as personal development and study time.
Employing motivational tapes and audio books, make this time a personal enrichment time that you can look forward to each day. If you don’t already have a backlog of tapes and CD’s you never seem to get to, try your local library for starters. Large bookstore chains devote entire sections to audio books - the hardest part is choosing among them!
If personal development is not a key issue, you might consider a small tape recorder to document squibbets, brilliant thoughts, notes, or additions to your To Do list. Don’t try to juggle too much if you’re the driver though - save your serious dictation for stop lights, freight trains and gridlock. Business letters and reports are best kept for a time when you can concentrate fully on the project.
6. Schedule appointments early in the day.
This is a great time manager and, allowing for a bit of initial resistance, people will become accustomed to your scheduling idiosyncrasies. Leave your afternoon for follow-up conversations, correspondence, etc. Evenings are free and carryover is minimized. It’s worth hitting the ground running each day if you know the rewards are real and there will actually be an end to your day!
7. Make a working file for every project & file everything in it - immediately.
If it’s a new project, make a new file the first time it generates paper - it takes seconds to place an item where it belongs and most people work smarter in an uncluttered atmosphere. Keep your current projects handy in a desktop file; you’ll be more likely to keep up with the filing when it’s close at hand.
Consider an old fashioned tickler file, 31 files labeled with the days of the month. File a copy of a dated action item along with copies of supporting documents in a desktop file or a tub drawer and check it first thing each morning.
Start today! Each tip can be implemented with minimal preparation, but the reward of gaining a sense of control over the day puts you back in the driver’s seat, actually spending time (i.e., making conscious decisions regarding its allocation), rather than watching it trickle through your fingers. With the time you’ll save - - start planning your vacation. See you on the beach!

If You are sick of losing the same weight over and over, and feeling like a failure because your last “diet” didn’t work, try these tips to not only lose weight, but lose it for good. I have watched hundreds of clients over the years and almost without exception, those that lose their weight once and for all have these six basic habits as a part of their lives.
1. Keep a food diary
For at least five days and up to a week, keep a pen and paper handy and write down everything you eat, how much, where and when you ate it and who you ate with. try to write it down as you eat it. Most people find that when they try to remember everything at the end of the day, they leave something out. I have also had clients tell me that they didn’t eat something because they knew they were going to have to write it down. Be completely honest with yourself. You don’t need to show anyone the results, but most will be very surprised by them. Particular environments and people can often trigger certain eating behaviors that are redily apparent when you use a food log. free fitness journal/food log.
2. Don’t eat too little
Very low calorie diets will, in the short term, help you lose weight but they’re extremely difficult to maintain. You’ll gradually become tired and irritable, lack the energy to exercise, and people won’t want to eat with you because the long list of ‘taboo’ foods renders restaurant menus, and even family meals at home, unsuitable for your overly strict diet. For a more detailed description of the effects of low calorie diets click here.
3. Neither feast nor fast - They weren’t kidding when they said “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Studies show that those who skip the first meal, end up eating more total calories throughout the day and tend to make less healthy choices. Try to eat at least 3 meals a day. Optimally you should spread your calories throughout 6 small meals per day. This will keep your metabolism bustling and yuor blood sugar level even to help avoid binging.
4. Freshness Counts - The packaging and processing generally found in “convenience” foods generally reduce the nutrient values of foods and substantially raise the caloric content. The American Dietetic Association recommends at least 3 - 5 servings from the fruit and vegetable group per day. no time to prepare “home made meals? Try preparing in bulk on the week ends to make healthy choices readily available. Cut up a large bowl of fresh fruit, (1c = 1 serving) or pre make a large bowl of salad or cut up veggies. I usually prepare a weeks worth of chicken or pork so i can quickly re heat it and add it to any recipe.
5. Hydrate your way to quicker weight loss
Drink water ahead of coffee, tea, or soft drinks. Including the ‘hidden’ water we consume in food, we need 64 oz. per day. More is recommended to counteract the dehydration caused by caffeinated beverages and intense exercise or excessive heat.
How much do we need to drink? In general you should be drinking enough water per day so that your urine is nearly clear.
